Burton Named First Team All-HCAC

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Sophomore Ashleigh Burton highlighted the Earlham College volleyball team's presence on the All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) volleyball team as she earned First Team honors in a release by the league on Wednesday.

Burton, who finished second in the HCAC in kills (374) and kills per set (3.63) led the Quakers in both categories. The Indianapolis, Ind., native finished with at least ten kills in all but six matches this season. She finished with over 20 kills three times including a career high 22-kill performance in a five-set loss to Mount St. Joseph University.

Burton is the first Quaker to earn First Team All-HCAC honors in program history.
 
Sophomore Skylar Muckway garnered Honorable Mention All-HCAC honors. Muckway finished second on the team in kills with 254 and kills per set with 2.65. The Indianapolis, Ind. native finished with at least ten kills in 13 matches including a career high 20-kill performance in a four-set loss at Franklin College.
Freshman Vanessa Duran was named to the HCAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
