RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College volleyball team continues regular season play as the Quakers travel to play against St. Mary-of-the-Woods College on Monday evening. The match is slated to start at 7:00 p.m.

The Teams: Earlham and St. Mary-Woods. The Quakers are looking to rebound and snap a nine-match losing streak after a 3-0 loss to Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in HCAC play on Tuesday. The Pomeroys look to rebound after losing to Governors State 3-0.

The Coaches: Lauren Crump enters her third year at Earlham along with her second year as head coach. The IU-East alumnae was a four-year starting setter for the Red Wolves and a three-time All-American. She holds the distinction of being the NAIA's all-time assists leader for the rally-scoring era. Steve Beeler was named the school's first head volleyball coach in January of 2014.

The Players: Sophomores Ashleigh Burton and Skylar Muckway continue to be Earlham's go-to threats on offense. Both average over 2.5 kills per set and have combined for over 57 percent of the Quakers' offense. Freshman setter Lauren Jackson engineers the Earlham offense to the tune of 8.56 assists per set while sophomore libero Megan Hedinger leads the back row averaging five digs per set and also turned in career-high 36 digs against Mount St. Joseph. Sophomore McKenzi Kumpf leads the offense for St. Mary-Woods with 244 kills and an average of 2.77 kills per set.

Record Chasing: Megan Hedinger is on pace to break two single season records – total digs and digs per set. The Germantown, Wis., native needs 50 more digs to break Amanda Shaffer's record of 511 digs in 1999. In addition, Hedinger needs to average over five digs per set (currently at 5.13) to break Katie Evans' record of 298 digs per set in 2006.
