The Teams: Earlham (0-3), Anderson (0-2), and Wittenberg (0-1). The Quakers opened the season with a loss at Marietta and have since dropped two HCAC contests – at Manchester and at Transylvania. The tri match this weekend marks the home opener for the Quakers. Anderson has dropped matches to Huntington and Franklin while Wittenberg lost its season-opener to Otterbein.
The Coaches: Earlham is led by first-year head coach Justin Roe. A graduate of Keuka College, Roe guided the men's program to a third place finish in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) last spring. The Quakers advanced to the HCAC Tournament finals. Sue Hammel is in her 26th season leading the Anderson tennis programs. Hammel graduated from Anderson in 1981. Wittenberg is under the direction of Nick Rohner. Entering his second year, Rohner came to Wittenberg from his alma mater, Central College, where he served as an assistant tennis coach for six seasons.
The Players: Senior Jordyn Grimes and sophomore Lexi Aligrabes have played first and second singles respectively for the Quakers this season. Ashlan Millikan and Michaela Hurd have been Anderson's top two players through two matches while Carli Milano and Alivia Livesay played first and second singles respectively in Wittenberg's loss to Otterbein.
