LEXINGTON, Ky. - Women's soccer is shut out by the Pioneers of Transylvania in Lexington for the second conference loss of the season.
Transylvania won the match 4-0. Three of those goals were scored in the first period, the first one coming at minute six by Ashley Chindo. Two more Pioneer goals would be scored in the 25th and 27th minute.
At the half, the Quakers made the necessary defensive adjustments to reduce the number of shots Transylvania took. As a result, only one more goal was scored in the 46th minute by Transylvania's Abbey Baker. Both of the teams played equally physically as evidenced through their three fouls.
Earlham was never able to gain the offensive momentum to answer any of the Pioneer's goals. Through the match the Quakers only took two shots on the goal and seven shots in general.
Earlham women's soccer returns to play at home on Saturday, October 6 against Hanover at 1:00pm.
