FRANKLIN, Ind. – Earlham College sophomore Hannah Toresdahl shot an 89 and jumped five spots up the individual leaderboard in the final round of the Franklin College Lady Grizzly Spring Invitational, held Sunday at The Legends Golf Club.
Toresdahl finished the tournament tied for 33rd overall with a two-day tally of 186 on the par 72, 5,809-yard Legends course.
Megan Garner was tied for 36th overall with a 189 at the end of the tournament, and eight-spot jump from her placement following Saturday's first round, after shooting a 91 in Sunday's round. Emma Wilkins was 43rd on the leaderboard with a 94 on Sunday and a 195 total over the 36-hole tournament.
Natalija Ljutic carded a 119 on Sunday and finished the tournament 56th overall with a 244.
Franklin's Keely Townsend and Transylvania's Rachel Fine finished atop the individual leaderboard with a 160 (+16) for the tournament; Fine shot a 79 on Sunday, carding the only sub-80 round of the day. Fine won a one-hole playoff to earn medalist honors. Transy's Meredith Moir was third with a 163 (+19).
Earlham was ninth on the team standings with a 814 for the tournament, after shooting a 393 on Sunday. Transylvania won the tournament after carding a 336 on Sunday, giving the Pioneers a 672 for the tournament. Transy won with a 17-stroke lead over second-place Franklin College, who posted a 689 over 36 holes.
