RICHMOND, Indiana – The Earlham College women's basketball team hosts Franklin College in a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) contest at Schuckman Court at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
The Teams: Earlham and Franklin. The Quakers are looking to rebound after an 80-46 loss at Transylvania University on Wednesday. The Grizzlies stand at 8-9 on the season and 6-5 in HCAC play and recently snapped a two-game losing skid with a 66-62 win at Manchester University on Wednesday.
The Coaches: Earlham is under the direction of interim head coach Kevin Hayden. A Ball State University alumnus, Hayden served as an assistant men's basketball coach for the previous two seasons along with his duties as assistant to the director of athletics. Dana Haggenjos, a DePauw University alumnae, is in her third season as head coach at Franklin.
The Players: Senior Hannah Franklin leads Earlham in scoring at 10.9 points per game while also helping others score, dishing out nearly three assists per contest. Freshman Shannon Pittman is second on the team in scoring at 9.0 points per game while freshman Camryn White and junior Mariah Flynn combine to score over 12 points per game. Lauren DeSutter leads the Grizzlies at 8.8 points per game while Emily Alfrey tallies 6.9 points and 4.5 rebounds per contest.
