RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College women's basketball team continues non-conference play when the Quakers hosting Wilmington College for a 5:30 p.m. game on Tuesday.
The Teams: Earlham and Wilmington. The Quakers are 0-3 this season after falling to Kenyon College on Sunday. Wilmington is 2-1 this season after a loss to Carnegie Mellon University Saturday.
The Coaches: Janel Iden is his her fifth season with the Earlham women's basketball program including her third as head coach. Iden guided the Quakers to a 9-16 record in her first year as head coach. Before arriving at Earlham, Iden spent three years as an assistant coach at Mount Union. The Purple Raiders went 80-11 and appeared in three NCAA Division III Tournaments during that time. Jerry Scheve is in his 25th season at Wilmington and led the Quakers to a national championship in 2003-04.
The Players: Hannah Franklin leads the Quakers in scoring at 18.0 points per game. The Lynn, Ind., native scored a career-high 27 points in Earlham's narrow loss to LaRoche. Sophomore Ashlea Meadows leads the squad in rebounding at 5.3 boards per game. Sophomore Mackenzie Campbell leads Wilmington's offence averaging 13.0 points per game.
