GAMBIER, Ohio – The Earlham College women's basketball team failed to find its offensive stride in a 71-35 loss to Kenyon College at Tomsich Arena on Sunday afternoon.
The Quakers shot just 25.9 percent from the field while the Ladies converted 27-53 shots for a 50.9 shooting percentage. Earlham committed 28 turnovers in the game with Kenyon had 21.
Kenyon (4-1) led 22-7 after one quarter and 39-16 at halftime. The Quakers did outscore the home team 14-11 in the fourth quarter.
Senior Hannah Franklin led Earlham in scoring for the third straight game with nine points. Freshman Shannon Pittman added six points, five rebounds, and two assists while senior Shania Feathers had five points and three rebounds off of the bench.
Bailey Dominguez led the Ladies with 15 points, five rebounds, and four assists.
Earlham will play its first home game of the 2016-17 season against Wilmington College on Tuesday. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
