GREENCASTLE, Ind. – Earlham College men's tennis picked off a point in doubles play and two more in singles, but was unable to get past a tough DePauw University squad in a 6-3 loss to the Tigers, Tuesday afternoon at the DePauw Indoor Tennis and Track Center.

The Quakers earned their doubles point at no. 3 flight, where the duo of Aitor Zerdilas-Herrera and Jason Lawson posted an 8-3 victory over the DePauw combo of Alex Bertolini and Alex Pintilie.

Earlham picked up one of its two points in singles play after Zerdilas-Herrera won a marathon 4-6, 6-3, 10-8 match at no. 2 singles over Bryce McClanahan. The Quakers also chalked up a victory at no. 5 singles, with Lawson's 6-0, 6-3 straight-sets triumph over the Tigers' Billy Louiselle.

Earlham slipped to 3-5 overall following the loss to DePauw. The Tigers improved to 3-5 with the win.

The Quakers return to action on Tuesday, March 12, when the squad travels to Hilton Head, S.C., for a series of four matches, starting with a clash with Carroll College.
