W&J downs Earlham men's lacrosse in ORLC matchup

RICHMOND, Ind. – Visiting Washington & Jefferson was able to hold Earlham College men's lacrosse off the scoreboard on its way to a 26-0 win over the Quakers, in an Ohio River Lacrosse Conference matchup Saturday at Darrell Beane Stadium.

Pat Heidecker charted five goals and two assists for the Presidents, while Patrick Brunner, Sam Lex, and Rocco Ruscitto recorded four goals each. Brendan Tribeck had five assists for W&J.

Earlham goalie John Okker-Edging was credited with 15 saves over his 60 minutes in the Quaker goal, while W&J's Noah Cohen logged six saves.

W&J outshot Earlham 68-11, and the Presidents had 41 ground balls to the Quakers' 18. The Maroon and White were 9-of-15 on clear opportunities and 7-of-28 on faceoffs.

Earlham will host Wabash College on Tuesday, March 20, at 7:00 p.m. at Darrell Beane Stadium. The game will be a benefit for "Lace Up with Lax" initiative and fans are asked to bring a new pair of children's shoes to the game in support of the event. The new shoes will then be distributed to charities that can provide them to homeless children.
