Men’s golf cards a 305, sits fourth at Franklin Dick Park Invite

FRANKLIN, Ind. – Earlham College men's golf posted a 305 (+17) in the first round of the Franklin College Dr. Richard Park Invitational, held Saturday at the Hillview Country Club.

Nate Mynatt fired a three-over 75 and was tied for ninth to lead the Quakers. He was one stroke ahead of Garrett Schuler and Jared Birr (B team), both of whom shot a four-over 76 and were tied for 11th.

Brevin Smith and Graham Sherard were not far off the pace with rounds of 77 (+5), and were tied for 16th.

Evan MacLean from Parkland College was atop the individual leaderboard at the end of round 1 with a six-under 66.

DePauw was leading the 10-team field with a 291 (+3), just two strokes ahead of Parkland (293 (+5). The Quakers completed the round just three strokes behind third-place Franklin College (302).

Round 2 of the Dr. Richard Park Invitational will take place on Sunday, Sept. 8, with a shotgun start at 10:00 a.m.
