Quakers Battle Bishops in NCAC Contest

RICHMOND, Ind. — The Earlham College field hockey team fell 6-1 on Wednesday to Ohio Wesleyan University.

The Bishops (4-6, 2-5) scored four times in the opening period of the North Coast Athletic Conference affair in Darrell Beane Stadium.

Kaitlyn Brunner picked up Earlham's goal at 45:56 in the second half with an assist from Megan Hut. It was Brunner's third score of the season.

Earlham goalkeeper Brynna Foreman had seven saves for the Quakers. Ohio Wesleyan led 16-9 in shots, while the squads were even in penalty corners at 10 each.

The Quakers (0-10, 0-7) return to action on Saturday at the University of the South. The non-conference match begins at 11:30 a.m.
