Top 15 Countdown This Month

RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College department of athletics is unveiling the top 15 moments of the 2015-16 year as a department this month.

Stories will be released on business day in July beginning with No. 15 on July 12. The top moment of the year will be announced on Aug. 1.

The following moments did not crack the top 15, but were be named honorable mention.

Volleyball: Crump's First Win as Head Coach - After eight losses to begin the season, Lauren Crump earned her first victory as a collegiate head coach when Earlham swept Wilmington College in the Quaker Bowl at Schuckman Court on Sept. 13. Earlham hit .290 as a team and tallied 12 service aces in the match.

Women's Soccer: Mayhew and Bush Earn All-HCAC Honors – Juniors Kelly Mayhew and Michaela Bush were named Honorable Mention All-HCAC for the 2015 women's soccer season for Earlham. Mayhew (four goals and one assist) and Bush (three goals and three assists) led the Quakers offensively with nine points each on the season.

Women's Tennis: Grimes Named All-HCAC – Senior Jordyn Grimes garnered Honorable Mention All-HCAC honors for the 2015 Earlham College women's tennis season. Grimes played first singles and first doubles for the majority of the season.

Baseball: Comeback Win Over Wabash – The Earlham baseball team's final non-conference game of the season on April 20 did not get off to a great start. The Quakers fell behind 10-0 in the fifth inning to in-state foe Wabash College, but battled back to trail 12-7 heading into the ninth. In the bottom of the inning, Earlham tallied five hits and three walks including the game-winning RBI-single from Drew Dietz capping a 10-run comeback win.
