HANOVER, Indiana – Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) leader Hanover College hit a .360 attack percentage in a straight-set win (25-18, 25-18, 25-12) over the Earlham College volleyball team at Collier Arena on Wednesday evening.
The Panthers hit over a. 320 clip in all three sets including a blistering .429 attack percentage in the first set. The Quakers put down 11 and 12 kills in the first two sets respectively, but hit a negative attack percentage in the final game.
The freshmen due Rafaella Shima and Carly Federinko turned in seven kills each, marking a career best performance for Shima, who hit a .429 clip in the match. Sophomore setter Lauren Jackson dished out 26 assists while junior libero Megan Hedinger had 10 digs.
Kelsey Brandvik led all attackers with 16 kills and only one error for a .625 attack percentage. Claire Dennis chipped in six block assists.
Earlham (14-10, 2-4 HCAC) hosts Anderson University as part of Homecoming Weekend on Sunday. First serve from Schuckman Court is scheduled for 2 p.m.
