RICHMOND, Ind. – Earlham College first year Leilah Hicks was named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Outdoor Track and Field Runner of the Week, after helping score 35 points to lead Quaker women's track to the 2018 Indiana Division III Championship on Saturday.

Hicks won the 200m dash with a time of 26.00 seconds, and finished fourth in the 100m dash in 12.79 seconds.

In the relay events, Hicks ran as part of Earlham's first-place teams in the 4 x 100m relay, which posted a school record time of 49.77 seconds, and the 4 x 400m relay which had a time of 4:06.40.

Hicks led the Quakers to a first-place finish in the meet, edging out second-place finisher Manchester University by four points. Earlham finished eighth out of eight teams at the meet just a year ago.

This marks the second time this season Hicks has earned HCAC weekly honors; she was previously named the track runner of the week during the indoor track and field season on February 12.

Earlham track and field will be competing at the Mount St. Joseph Invitational this Saturday, April 21, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
