CEDARVILLE, Ohio – Earlham women's tennis took five of six singles matches on its way to a 6-3 come-from-behind win over NAIA-foe Ohio Christian University, in a match played Tuesday evening at Cedarville University.
Ohio Christian carried two of the three points out of doubles, with Anna Hahn and Yunjoo Shin teaming up for an 8-0 win at no. 1 doubles.
Moving into singles, the Quakers posted wins at no. 1 through no. 5 singles, all by straight sets. Hahn (no. 1 singles), Shin (no. 2 singles), and Ari Sanchez Villalpando (no. 4 singles) all won by identical 6-1, 6-1 scores. Abi Smith (no. 3 singles) and Alexandra Swank (no. 5 singles) both triumphed by 6-2, 6-1 scores.
The Quakers make their home debut on Sunday, Sept. 16, when they host Rose-Hulman at the Earlham College Tennis Courts. Match start time is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
