Women's Tennis Travels to Thomas More

RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College women's tennis team will travel to Thomas More in Crestview Hills, Ky. this Wednesday. First serve is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.

The Teams: Earlham and Thomas More. The Quakers are coming off a tough 8-1 loss to Manchester College this past weekend. They are currently 3-3 on the season and 0-2 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) play. The Saints of Thomas More come in with a 4-2 record.

The Coaches: Shawn Hyden enters his second season as the head women's tennis coach at Earlham. In his first season with the program, Hyden led the men's team to the HCAC Tournament finals for the first time since the 2014-2015 season. This season Hyden led the women's team to its best start since the 2012-2013 season. Chris Eilerman is in his fifth season as the women's head coach of Thomas More.

The Players:  Freshman Alexandra Canaday and Junior Yunjoo Shin have been the most successful singles players for Earlham.  Canaday is 3-3 and Shin is 5-1 on the season. In doubles Canaday leads the team with three wins while Shin, senior Arrita Domi and freshman Kathryn Hulleman all have two wins this year. 

The History: This will be the first meeting between the two teams in recent history.
