NEW CONCORD, Ohio – The Earlham College women's tennis team picked up its third win of the season with an 8-1 win against Muskingum University. The Quakers are 3-2 to start the year, which is their best start since the 2012-2013 season.
Senior Lexi Aligarbes and freshman Kathryn Hulleman started the match strong winning at second doubles 8-3. Junior Yunjoo Shin and freshman Alexandra Canaday picked up another comeback win at first doubles 8-4 after starting off the match down 0-4.
Due to time restrictions, singles matches were shortened to eight game pro set instead of standard scoring. Shin and Canaday kept the Quakers rolling picking up quick 8-0 wins at third and forth singles. Senior Kaitlin Morgan finished off singles play with an 8-4 victory at second singles. Third singles as well as fifth and sixth singles were defaulted by Muskingum.
The Quakers are back in action this Saturday where they will travel to Manchester University in North Manchester, Indiana. First serve is scheduled for noon.
