DEFIANCE, Ohio – Junior Kaitlin Morgan and sophomore Robyn Thomas both won singles matches an Earlham College women's tennis loss at Defiance College in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) action on Wednesday.
Morgan, who won her first singles match of the season, defeated Courtney Alexander 4-6, 7-6(2), 1-0(10) at third singles. Thomas improved to 3-8 on the season with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Mackenzie Combs at sixth singles.
Defiance took all three doubles matches including winning 8-6 at second and third doubles. The Yellow Jackets won first, second, fourth, and fifth singles in straight sets.
The Quakers continue HCAC action on Saturday with a tri-match at Franklin College. Earlham will face the host Grizzlies and Thomas More College.
