Women's Tennis Drops HCAC Opener at Manchester
NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. – The Earlham College women's tennis team opened Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) play with a 9-0 loss at Manchester on Saturday.

Senior Jordyn Grimes and sophomore Arrita Domi fell to Erin Cordill and Kay Ashpole 8-2 at first doubles. The Spartans won both the second and third doubles flights by a score of 8-1 each.

In singles, freshman Priscilla Coronado lost 6-2, 6-2 at fifth singles. Fellow freshman Carley Carpenter fell 6-1, 6-1 at third singles.

Earlham dips to 0-2 on the season including 0-1 in HCAC play. The Quakers continue conference competition with a 4 p.m. match at Transylvania on Sept. 16.
