Women's Soccer Loses at Anderson

ANDERSON, Indiana – Anderson University scored three first-half goals in a 3-0 victory over the Earlham College women's soccer team in a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) contest on Saturday afternoon.

The Ravens netted the first goal of the game at the 16:14 mark as Danae Miller found Emily Buchman who beat the Quakers goalkeeper, sophomore Sari Stissi, for her eighth goal of the season. Seven minutes later, Maddie Martin doubled the hosts lead.

Leading 2-0, Anderson kept the offensive pressure on as Morgan Reed made it 3-0 with an unassisted goal in the 30th minute.

Earlham's offense was held to three shots in the game compared to 19 for Anderson. Senior Kelsey Moore took the Quakers' lone shot on goal in the 86th minute, but it was saved by D'Anjrea Allen, who played the final seven minutes in net for the Ravens.

Stissi took the loss despite making eight saves in the game.

Earlham (6-8-0, 2-3-0 HCAC) travels to Hanover College for a 3:30 p.m. game on Wednesday.
