RICHMOND, Ind. – Senior Olivia Wallace recorded a hat trick for Earlham College women's lacrosse, but it was not enough to overtake Wilmington College (Ohio) and Earlham fell to the visiting Ohio Quakers, 8-4, in a non-conference matchup Wednesday evening at Darrell Beane Stadium.

The hat trick was the first for the reestablished Earlham women's lacrosse program. Wallace tallied two goals in the first half, and completed the hat trick with six seconds remaining on the second half game clock.

Diana Marino recorded the remaining Earlham goal.

Becca Petra accounted for three of Wilmington's eight goals, while Rachel Reinhart notched a pair of goals.

Earlham goalie Jordan Blackburne charted 18 saves over her 60 minutes in goal, while Wilmington goalie Megan Wieloch logged 11 stops. Wilmington outshot Earlham, 37-21, and the Ohio Quakers had a 28-18 advantage in ground balls.

Earlham is scheduled to host Olivet College on Saturday, March 24, at 3:00 p.m. at Darrell Beane Stadium.
