THE SHORT STORY: The Earlham College women's golf team wrapped up play in the second round of the Transylvania Spring Invitational on Monday with a 306, and posted a 766 for the tournament to finish sixth overall.

OFF THE TEE

  • Sophomore Megan Garner was the top Earlham golfer on the individual leaderboard, with a second round 102 for a 36-hole score of 198 (+54). Centre College's Bailey Plourde took medalist honors with an even-par 72 in Monday's round, giving her a one-over 145 for the tournament.
  • The University of Pikeville won the tournament with a two-day total of 636 (+60), after carding rounds of 321 and 315.
