RICHMOND, Indiana – The Earlham College women's golf team finished the 2017 Fall Invitational in sixth place after the final round played at Forest Hills Country Club on Sunday.
The Quakers finished the two-round tournament with 773 strokes after finishing Sunday's round one shot better than Saturday (387-386). Indiana University East won the tournament by beating Indiana University Kokomo by 37 strokes.
Freshman Megan Garner finished eighth individually to lead the Quakers. The Greenfield, Indiana, native fired a round of 95 on Saturday and a career-low round of 91 on Sunday. Sophomore Emma Wilkins finished in 12th place after rounds of 93 and 97.
Breanna Nowak of IU East earned medalist honors with rounds of 77 and 81 for an overall score of 158 strokes.
Earlham travels to the Defiance College Invitational next weekend.
