RICHMOND, Indiana – The Earlham College women's golf team hosts the second annual Earlham Fall Invitational this weekend.
The Invitational: The two-day invitational will begin with 10 a.m. tee times on Saturday followed by a shotgun start at 9 a.m. on Sunday.
The Teams: Earlham will be joined by Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) members Bluffton University, Defiance College, Manchester University and Mount St. Joseph University. Indiana University East, Indiana University Kokomo and Ohio Christian University will also be competing.
The Course: Both rounds of the two-day invitational will be played at Forest Hills Country Club in Richmond. The course will be playing at a 5,975 yards and a par of 72.
The Coach: Earlham is under the direction of second-year head coach Matt Gehring. A graduate of Defiance College, Gehring spent the previous four seasons as head women's golf coach and assistant men's golf coach at his alma mater.
The Players: Sophomore Hannah Toresdahl leads the Quakers with an average over just over 89 strokes per round. Fellow sophomore Aaron Monroe cards rounds of just over 91 strokes while sophomore Emma Wilkins and freshman Megan Garner are also in the 90s for round average.
