RICHMOND, Indiana – The Earlham College women's golf team travels to Nicholasville, Kentucky, for the Transylvania University Invitational this weekend.
The Teams: Earlham will be joined by Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) members Manchester University, Mount St. Joseph University, Franklin College, Hanover College and host Transylvania.
The Course: Both rounds of the two-day invitational will be played at Keene Run Golf Course. The course will play with a par of 72 and at 5,801 yards.
The Coach: Earlham is under the direction of second-year head coach Matt Gehring. A graduate of Defiance College, Gehring spent the previous four seasons as head women's golf coach and assistant men's golf coach at his alma mater.
The Players: Sophomore Aaron Monroe leads the Quakers as she averages 88.83 strokes per round this season. Fellow sophomore Hannah Toresdahl, who has a career-low round of 83 shot this season, averages just over 90 strokes per round.
