LIMA, Ohio – The Earlham College women's golf team holds a significant lead over Bluffton University after the first round of competition at the Beaver Fall Classic on Friday.
The Quakers finished their first round with 370 team strokes compared to 491 for the Beavers.
Sophomore Emma Wilkins carded the best 18-hold round of her career as the Brownsburg, Indiana, native finished her round in 90 strokes. Fellow sophomore Aaron Monroe finished one stroke behind Wilkins, marking the second-lowest 18-hole round (first round of 2016 HCAC Championships) of her career.
The final round of the Beaver Fall Classic will take place at the Bluffton Golf Course tomorrow (Saturday).
