RICHMOND, Ind. - The Earlham College women's basketball lost to Franklin College by a score of 51-39.
Earlham demonstrated incredible resilience in their matchup against Franklin. The Quakers defended relentlessly for all four quarters, never allowing the game to slip too far from reach. Both Earlham and Franklin struggled offensively, shooting 31% and 33% respectively from the field. A major contributor to the Grizzlies offensive headaches was defensive stalwart Mariah Flynn who finished the game with 7 points and 8 rebounds. On the other side of the ball, Zoe Curtis held a team high 12 points while also gathering 4 rebounds.
Franklin overpowered Earlham in the end with sheer volume shooting, going 21-64 from the field and 1-11 from beyond the arc. Although they never managed to dominate any single quarter, the Grizzlies slowly built their lead throughout the game and the Quakers never managed to chip away at it.
