RICHMOND, Indiana – The Earlham College women's basketball team hosts Centre College in a 4 p.m. matchup at Schuckman Court on Sunday.
The Teams: Earlham and Centre. The Quakers are 0-3 on the season after falling to Berea College on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. The Colonels are 3-0 this year and most recently escaped Spalding University with a 55-53 victory on Tuesday. Centre faces Hanover College on Saturday.
The Coaches: Shauna Watson is in her first season leading the Quakers' women's basketball program. A graduate of Hanover College, Watson spent the last two years as an assistant coach at Indiana Institute of Technology and led the Warriors to an NAIA Tournament berth in 2017. Wendie Austin-Robinson, a 1994 Centre graduate, has led her alma mater's women's basketball program to an even 154-154 record over the last 12 seasons.
The Players: Zoe Curtis and Mariah Flynn both average double figures in scoring to lead the Quakers offensively. Curtis, who has turned in consecutive career-best performances, averages 14.0 points and 3.0 rebounds per contest while Flynn scores 12. 7 points and grabs 5.7 boards per contest. Kat Wilson and Paige Kellam combine to score nearly 25.0 points per game for Centre.
