RICHMOND, Indiana – The Earlham College women's basketball team hosts Franklin College in a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) contest at Schuckman Court at 4 p.m. on Saturday.

The Teams: Earlham and Franklin. The Quakers are looking to rebound after an 80-46 loss at Transylvania University on Wednesday. The Grizzlies stand at 8-9 on the season and 6-5 in HCAC play and recently snapped a two-game losing skid with a 66-62 win at Manchester University on Wednesday.

The Coaches: Earlham is under the direction of interim head coach Kevin Hayden. A Ball State University alumnus, Hayden served as an assistant men's basketball coach for the previous two seasons along with his duties as assistant to the director of athletics. Dana Haggenjos, a DePauw University alumnae, is in her third season as head coach at Franklin. 

The Players: Senior Hannah Franklin leads Earlham in scoring at 10.9 points per game while also helping others score, dishing out nearly three assists per contest. Freshman Shannon Pittman is second on the team in scoring at 9.0 points per game while freshman Camryn White and junior Mariah Flynn combine to score over 12 points per game. Lauren DeSutter leads the Grizzlies at 8.8 points per game while Emily Alfrey tallies 6.9 points and 4.5 rebounds per contest.

Tale of the Tape: Points per game – Earlham 55.6, Franklin 68.0; opponents' points per game – Earlham 70.0, Franklin 55.4; field goal percentage – Earlham 35.9, Franklin 38.4; three-point percentage – Earlham 30.2, Franklin 37.7; rebounds per game – Earlham 37.2, Franklin 39.4.

1,000-Point Scorer: Hannah Franklin has scored 992 points in her Earlham career and needs just eight more points to become the 13th member of the 1,000-point club.

First Time Around: Franklin edged Earlham 60-56 at the Spurlock Center on Dec. 10, 2016. The Quakers led 42-37 after three quarters, but were outscored 23-14 in the final period.

Recent History: Earlham has not beaten Franklin since joining the HCAC prior to the 2010-11 season.
