Track and Field To Compete at RHIT Friday Night Invite

RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College track and field team travels to Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology for the Friday Night Invite on Jan. 20.

The Meet: Field events for the meet will begin at approximately 6 p.m. followed by the hurdles at 6:15 p.m. and other track events beginning at 7 p.m.

The Coaches: Earlham is led by a pair of first-year, co-head coaches. Claire Hewitt comes to Earlham from the University of Pennsylvania where she served as an assistant women's cross country coach while her husband Rob had been a high school cross country and track & field coach at national powerhouse Germantown Friends High School (Pa.) since 2004.

Women to Watch: Junior Annalee Wilson will compete in the Pole Vault, the 60-Meter Hurdles, and the 4-x-400 Meter Relay. Sophomore Rachel Wilkins, who garnered All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) honors in cross country, will run in the 800-Meter Dash and the 4-x-400 Meter Relay.

Men's To Watch: Senior Gabriel Penk, an All-HCAC selection in cross country, will compete in the Mile Run and the 3,000-Meter Run. Junior Marcaus Cooper, who was named Second Team All-HCAC in Indoor Track & Field last season, competes in the Triple Jump.
