Track and Field Travels to Wabash Saturday

RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College indoor track & field team travels to the Robert H. Johnson Little Giant Open for the first meet of 2017 for the Quakers on Saturday.

The Meet: The meet, hosted by Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana, will begin at approximately noon with field events. Track events will begin at 1 p.m. with the meet concluding at approximately 6 p.m.

The Coaches: Earlham is led by a pair of first-year, co-head coaches. Claire Hewitt comes to Earlham from the University of Pennsylvania where she served as an assistant women's cross country coach while her husband Rob had been a high school cross country and track & field coach at national powerhouse Germantown Friends High School (Pa.) since 2004.

Women to Watch: Junior Annalee Wilson will compete in the Pole Vault, the 200-Meter Dash, and 1,600-Sprint Medley Relay. Sophomore Rachel Wilkins, who garnered All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) honors in cross country, runs in the 400-Meter Dash and the 1,600-Spring Medley Relay.

Men's To Watch: Senior Gabriel Penk, an All-HCAC selection in cross country, will compete in the Mile Run and the 1,600-Spring Medley Relay.
