Men's Cross Country Places 18th at Inter-Regional Boarder Battle

RESULTS

GLASSBORO, New Jersey – The Earlham College men's cross country team finished in 18th place out of 28 teams at the Inter-Regional Boarder Battle hosted by Rowan University on Saturday.

The Quakers finished with 456 points as a team. Haverford College won the meet by finishing second, third and fourth individually for a total of 29 points.

Freshman Nate Papachristos and senior Gabriel Penk provided Earlham with a "one-two punch" as Papachristos (25:50.3) took 51st and Penk (25:53.5) finished in 53rd place on the 8-kilometer course. Freshman Bineyam Tubmo was the next Quaker to finish, doing so in 100th place with a time of 26:51.6.

Earlham has as week off before competing in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Championships hosted by Manchester University on Oct. 28.
