RICHMOND, Ind. – Earlham College first year Jake Patton was named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Men's Freshman of the Year, after his performances at Saturday's HCAC Indoor T&F Championships in Defiance, Ohio.
Patton garnered 14.5 of Earlham's 57 points at Saturday's championship, after his second-place finish in the 60m hurdles (8.86 seconds) and his third-place showing in the triple jump (42-9). He also earned Second Team All-HCAC honors by virtue of his 60m hurdles result.
Earlham men's track & field had six All-HCAC selections out of Saturday's HCAC meet. Joining Patton on the All-HCAC teams were:
First Team All-HCAC (first-place finisher)

Emanuel Faria, So., Atlanta, Ga. (distance medley relay)
