LEXINGTON, Va. – A pair of ninth-place finishes by Nate Papachristos highlighted Earlham College men's track and field results on day two at the 2018 Washington & Lee University Carnival, which wrapped up Saturday at Wilson Field.
Papachristos finished ninth in the men's 800m run with a time of 1:59.60, while Emanual Faria was 21st in a time of 2:02.86.
Bineyam Tumbo was ninth in the 3000m steeplechase after crossing the line in 10:46.46
The Quakers had multiple entries in the 200m dash, with Drew Fitzgibbon leading the Earlham runners with a time of 24.07 seconds and a 30th place finish. Justin Kerobo was 36th with a time of 24.35 seconds, while Faria was 41st after crossing the line in 24.79 seconds to round out top 50 finishers for the Quakers.
Fitzgibbon also placed 26th in the 400m with a time of 54.37.
Earlham track and field will host its only meet of the season this Thursday, March 22, when it hosts the Earlham Duals at Darrell Beane Stadium.
