Men’s tennis sails past Transy, 9-0

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. – Transylvania University posed no serious issue for the Earlham College men's tennis team as the Quakers breezed past the Pioneers, 9-0, in a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference match at the Top Seed Tennis Club.

AGAINST THE PIONEERS

Earlham's toughest challenge in doubles play game at no. 1 doubles, where Aitor Zerdilas-Herrera and Nikolaos Trikkos-Psomas required a tiebreaker before dispensing with Transy's Arjun Gupta and Hugo Kouhkna, 8-7 (8-6).

Moving into singles, Trikkos-Psomas again had the toughest match among the Quakers, requiring a tiebreaker in the first set before completing the straight-set victory, 7-6 (7-1), 6-2.

Earlham's regular season wraps up on Saturday, April 27, when the Quakers host Franklin College (11:00 a.m.) and Holy Cross, Ind. (3:30 p.m.) at the EC Tennis Courts.
