Men's tennis topples MSJ for Senior Day victory

Earlham men's tennis 2018 seniors

RICHMOND, Ind. – Earlham College men's tennis remained undefeated in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference following Wednesday's 9-0 win over Mount St. Joseph at the EC Tennis Courts.

The win was the 13th consecutive victory for Quaker men's tennis, and Earlham's third-straight win by a 9-0 score.

Earlham's three doubles teams dropped a mere three games combined, including an 8-0 win at no. 3 doubles by Aleksandr Sergeev and Brandon Giordanelli.

The Quakers carried that momentum throughout singles play. The closest match in singles came at no. 2 flight, with Sergeev's 6-2, 6-3 win over MSJ's Cooper Wade.

Earlham will have a quick 24-hour turnaround before their next match on Thursday, April 26, when it hosts Transylvania University. Start time at the EC Tennis Courts will be 4:00 p.m.
