ORLANDO, Fla. – Earlham College men's tennis completed a perfect 6-0 week in Florida with victories on Friday against Daemen College and North Central College (Ill.) at the USTA National Campus.
The Quakers edged Daemen, 5-4, before posting an 8-1 victory over North Central.
Earlham dropped two of the three doubles matches to Daemen, but the Quakers rallied to win four out the six singles matches. Brandon Giordanelli had the only singles match that required the super-tiebreaker, which he handily won at no. 5 singles, 3-6, 6-1, 10-1.
Giordanelli also required the super-tiebreaker at no. 5 singles in Earlham's 9-0 triumph over North Central College, before prevailing 2-6, 6-4, 10-7.
Earlham men's tennis is idle for the next 12 days, and will return to action on Wednesday, March 28, when the Quakers travel to Ada, Ohio, to face Ohio Northern University.
