TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Rose-Hulman went up early scoring goals in the 13th and 15th minutes making the score 2-0. Earlham's Yuki Adams was the first to put the Quakers on the board in the 38th minute, and closed out the scoring ending the half 2-1.
After the half the Quaker defense turned up the intensity on Rose-Hulman's offense. In the first half Rose-Hulman took 9 shots. That number was reduced to two in the second half resulting in a Rose-Hulman second half shutout.
21 seconds before the end of regulation Jeffery Douyere made a go ahead goal to tie the game 2-2.
The teams went into double overtime. The first overtime remained scoreless because neither team could get a shot. Five minutes into the second overtime Rose-Hulman's Travis Bednarek scored to win the game after an Engineer corner kick.
Although the Quakers had five less shots on the goal than Rose-Hulman, all of their shots were meaningful. with two out of three being goals.
Yuki Adams' goal made him the team leader in goals this season with five.
Men's soccer returns to the field at home on Thursday, October 17 at 3:30pm against Anderson.
