SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. – Earlham College sophomore Nate Mynatt fired a five-over 77 and was tied for 35th after the opening round of the Heritage Hill Collegiate men's golf tournament, which began play on Saturday.
First year Garrett Schuler carded an 82 and was tied for 49th, while sophomores Pat Wright and Graham Sherard each shot an 83 and were tied for 53rd on the individual leaderboard. Jared Birr turned in a round of 85, and was tied for 58th.
Earlham finished the first round in 10th place with a 325, just five strokes behind ninth place St. Mary of the Woods. Indian Hills Community College was leading the field with a nine-under 279, followed by Indiana Tech with an even-par 288.
Round two of the Heritage Hill Collegiate men's tournament takes place on Sunday, March 18, at Heritage Hill Golf Club.
