RICHMOND, Indiana – The Earlham College men's golf team hosts the second annual Earlham Fall Invitational this weekend.
The Invitational: The two-day invitational will begin with noon tee times on Saturday followed by a shotgun start at 9 a.m. on Sunday.
The Teams: Earlham will be joined by Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) members Bluffton University and Manchester University. Marietta College, the College of Wooster, Alice Lloyd College and Indiana University Kokomo will also be competing.
The Course: Both rounds of the two-day invitational will be played at Forest Hills Country Club in Richmond. The course will be playing at a 6,427 yards and a par of 71.
The Coach: Earlham is under the direction of second-year head coach Matt Gehring. A graduate of Defiance College, Gehring spent the previous four seasons as head women's golf coach and assistant men's golf coach at his alma mater.
The Players: Sophomore Graham Sherard leads the Quakers with an 18-hole round average of 77.75 strokes. Fellow sophomores Nate Mynatt and Jared Birr along with freshman David Fu also shoot an average round over under 80 strokes.
