Mynatt Shoots Round of 76 to Begin Beaver Fall Classic

LIMA, Ohio - Sophomores Nate Mynatt and Graham Sherard carded rounds of 76 and 77 respectively to lead the Earlham College men's golf team's performance in the first round of the Beaver Fall Classic hosted by Bluffton University on Friday.

Earlham sits in fourth place after day one as Quakers finished wiith 316 team strokes as a team. Ohio Christian University finished one shot ahead of Earlham at 315 strokes while the University of Northwest Ohio had a team score of 312. Ohio Northern University leads the field with 310 strokes.

Other than Mynatt and Sherard, sophomore Jared Birr and freshman David Huang carded rounds of 81 and 82 respectively. Sophomore Matt Truex turned in an impressive round of 77 as an individual. 

The final round of the Beaver Fall Classic will take place at the Bluffton Golf Course tomorrow (Saturday).
