Men's Golf Earns GCAA All-Academic Team Honors

NORMAN, Oklahoma – The Earlham College men's golf team earned All-Academic Team honors from the Golf Coaches' Association of America (GCAA) for the 2016-17 season.

In order to receive this recognition, teams must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.00 or higher. The Quakers were one of 187 teams among all divisions and 36 NCAA Division III teams to earn the GCAA's All-Academic Team award.

"As a coach, you cannot be any more proud than when your team is honored for their academic achievements, head coach Matt Gehring said. "Particularly here at Earlham, where the academic demands are higher than most institutions, this means a whole lot more.  These young men work hard day in and day out and no team is more deserving of this!"

Earlham completed its first varsity season since 1993 in 2016-17. The Quakers finished seventh at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Championships this past spring.
