RICHMOND, Indiana - The Earlham College men's golf team sits in seventh place heading to the final two rounds of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Championships this Saturday and Sunday.
The Tournament: Mount St. Joseph hosted the first two rounds last weekend, and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology will host the final two rounds this weekend.
Standings: Earlham is in seventh place after two rounds with 646 strokes. A complete list of results can be found above.
The Course: The final two rounds of the tournament will be held at Hulman Links Golf Course in Terre Haute. The course will play at 6,700 yards and at a par of 72.
The Teams: The nine HCAC institutions (Bluffton University being the exception) who sponsor men's golf at the varsity level will compete.
The Coach: Earlham is under the direction of first-year head coach Matt Gehring. A graduate of Defiance College, Gehring spent the previous four seasons as head women's golf coach and assistant men's golf coach at his alma mater.
The Players: Freshman Graham Sherard leads the squad with a round average of 79.39 strokes. Fellow freshmen Jared Birr and Patrick Wright both average until 84 strokes per round.
