RICHMOND, Indiana – The Earlham College men's golf team heads to Hanover for the Hanover Invitational this weekend.
The Course: Shadowood Golf Course will serve as the home for the tournament. The course will play a 6,700 yards and a par of 72.
The Teams: Earlham and host Hanover will be joined by Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) members Defiance College and Franklin College as well as North Central College, Wabash College, and Thomas More College.
The Coach: Earlham is under the direction of first-year head coach Matt Gehring. A graduate of Defiance College, Gehring spent the previous four seasons as head women's golf coach and assistant men's golf coach at his alma mater.
The Players: Freshman Graham Sherard leads the squad with a round average of 80.33 strokes. Fellow freshmen Jared Birr and Patrick Wright recorded career low rounds of 75 and 79 respectively at the Rose-Hulman Invitational last weekend.
