RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College men's basketball team travels to Mount St. Joseph University for a 3 p.m. Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) contest on Saturday.
The Teams: Earlham and Mount St. Joseph. The Quakers are looking to snap a four-game losing streak after a 78-64 loss to Defiance College on Wednesday. The Lions are 11-3 overall and 6-1 in conference play after a 76-73 win at Hanover College on Wednesday.
The Coaches: Earlham is under the direction of third-year head coach Jason Polykoff. An alumnus of Haverford College, Polykoff came to Earlham from Penn, where he served as an assistant coach. He also won four state championships at Friends' Central High School in Wynnewood, Pa. Toby Carrigan, a former Transylvania University assistant coach, is in his fifth season as head coach at Mount St. Joseph. Carrigan led the Lions to the NCAA Division III Tournament last season.
The Players: Sophomore Darrell Hutchison leads the Quakers in scoring at 13.9 points per game. Hutchison, along with freshman Tarig Eldosougi, combine to grab over eight rebounds per game. Assisting Hutchison offensively are junior Elijah Wilson-Thomas (9.0 PPG), sophomore Nick Sands (8.0 PPG), and freshman Blake Bonin (7.9 PPG). Bonin and sophomore Isaiah Waire both dish out over two assists per contest. Mount St. Joseph features a balanced scoring attack as four players average 11.0 points or more per game. Andrew Finley and Adam Goetz combine for 30.2 points per game. Erik Edwards leads the Lions in rebounding, grabbing 6.6 boards per game.

Recent History: Earlham is 2-10 against Mount St. Joseph since joining the HCAC prior to the 2010-11 season. The Quakers' last win over the Lions came on Feb. 1 of 2014, a 78-73 overtime victory at Schuckman Court.
