Hut and Turlings Honored by NFHCA

CHANDLER, Arizona – Senior Megan Hut and junior Maite Turlings received recognition from the Longstretch/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) on Wednesday afternoon.

Hut garnered First Team All-Great Lakes Region for the third consecutive year while Turlings earned a spot on the Second Team All-Great Lakes Region squad for the second straight season.

The senior led the Quakers offensively with 10 goals and six assists for 26 points. Turlings, Hut's cousin, scored eight goals and dished out five assists. The two, who garnered First Team All-North Coast Athletic Conference this season, combined for nearly 70 percent of the Quakers' offense.

Earlham finished the 2017 season with a 6-10 overall record, marking the fifth time since the 1993 campaign that the Quaker have won six contests in a season.
