CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Earlham College field hockey team placed three individuals on the All-North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) field hockey teams, released by the conference on Thursday.
Hut, who is receiving All-NCAC recognition for the fourth consecutive year including being a First Team All-NCAC selection for the second straight season, led Earlham offensively with 10 goals and six assists for a total of 26 points. Hut scored a hat trick in the Quakers' 7-0 offensive outburst at Oberlin College and finished her Earlham career with 34 goals and 18 assists for a total of 86 points.
Turlings, a Second Team All-NCAC selection as a sophomore, finished the 2017 season with eight goals and five assists for 21 points. She scored two goals in both of the Quakers' 3-1 wins over Ohio Wesleyan University.
van der Vaart started all 16 games in net for Earlham and allowed 2.13 goals per contest. She made 96 saves during the season and had a save percentage of .750.
Earlham finished the 2017 season with a 6-10 overall record, marking the fifth time since the 1993 campaign that the Quaker have won six contests in a season.
