#Top15Countdown No. 14 - Field Hockey Defeats Kenyon

RICHMOND, Indiana - The Earlham College field hockey team accomplished something the program had not done since Oct. 5 of 2003 last fall, defeat Kenyon College. The Quakers edged the Ladies 2-1 at Darrell Beane Stadium on Sept. 24, 2016.

Senior Kaitlyn Brunner opend the scoring in the 19th minute using a pass from fellow senior Megan Hut. Trailing 1-0 at halftime, Kenyon leveled the contest early in the second half.

Freshman goaltender Camille vanderVaart would only be beaten once, and sophomore Isabella Grasso's goal with just under 10 minutes in regular proved to be the game-winner.

Earlham concluded its 2016 season with a 6-13 overall record and a 3-11 mark in NCAC play. The win total marks the highest for the Quakers since the 2008 season.
