van der Vaart Named NCAC Field Hockey Player of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Earlham College field hockey freshman Camille van der Vaart was named North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Field Hockey Player of the Week in a release by the conference on Tuesday.

van der Vaart posted two shutout victories in her first two collegiate starts as the Earlham started its season 2-0. She made six saves in Earlham's 1-0 season-opening victory over Concordia University Wisconsin on Saturday and added another six saves in the Quakers' 2-0 triumph over Transylvania University on Sunday. 

With van der Vaart's two shutouts, Earlham begins its season 2-0 for the first time since 2013. The Quakers open NCAC competition on Wednesday vs. Ohio Wesleyan.
